Hello dear one

Greetings, dear seeker. I am deeply honoured that you have chosen to embark on a sacred journey of self-discovery, perhaps with me as your guide. My path, much like yours, is woven from both darkness and light, solitude and community, challenges and triumphs. It's a path that has led me to this very moment - meeting you, here and now.

My Story

Early Beginnings: The Seed is Planted

Me at age 14

My own spiritual journey began when I was 14 years old. Disillusioned by the world around me and impacted by my childhood trauma, I turned inward and discovered the transformative power of meditation. I found a sanctuary amidst the chaos. My early years were marred by childhood trauma and abuse, which lent an urgency to my quest for inner peace and healing.  My inner world became my sanctuary which I further discovered with meditation and spirituality - a place to heal, grow, and find respite. At age 15, I undertook Reiki training at the International House of Reiki, completing Reiki levels one and two.

Embracing Monastic Life: The Soil is Tilled

when I was a monk

At the age of 16, I took a bold step and became a Buddhist monk in the Thai Forest Tradition. It was a space to grow in fertile soil, nurtured by the teachings of ancient wisdom. For several years, the monastic life allowed me to dive deep into practices like meditation, mindfulness, loving-kindness, and Buddhist psychology. It was an immersive education that transcended mere intellectual understanding, reaching into the very core of my being. I spent time living in a monastic community, visiting Buddhist holy sites in India, teaching, and in deep solitude.

As a monk, I lived in a little hut in the forest and a period of time in a cave. My teacher and mentor was Bhante Sujato, who specialises in loving-kindness meditation and Buddhist text (sutta) translation. The monk who ordained me was Ajahn Brahm, who is a well-known Buddhist teacher, author and meditation instructor.

I later left the monastic life when my father became gravely ill. I spent a total of five years living a monastic life.

A Lifelong Commitment: The Garden Blooms

Over the past 20 years, my commitment to these practices has only deepened, much like the roots of a resilient tree. The years have bestowed upon me the tools to transform my inner landscape, turning arid land into a lush internal garden. Yet, even in a well-tended garden, weeds of imperfection and challenges still arise, reminding me that the path to self-awareness is ongoing and ever-evolving and a life-long practice. Today, as a meditation teacher and mindfulness guide, my purpose is to help others find their own path to and develop their own transformation.

Triumph Through Transformation

I am a living testament to the transformative nature of meditation and spirituality. My experiences have given me profound insight into the complexities of the human psyche, especially when it comes to coping with trauma, ADHD, and emotional challenges. I have learned to transform my inner critic into my inner guide, to listen to the soft whispers of my higher-self, and to navigate life with a heart full of loving-kindness and a mind rooted in awareness.

The Journey Continues: New Seeds are Sown

My current projects include courses, guided meditations, and blogs, all designed to be accessible and balanced. I see myself as the gardener who, having nurtured his own soil, is eager to help others cultivate their gardens, no matter how rocky the ground or how harsh the climate.

My Present Moment: The Tapestry of Now

In my current chapter, I wear several fulfilling hats: meditation teacher, spiritual coach, writer, and community worker. Each role allows me to nurture both individual and collective well-being. My personal life also nourishes me; I find joy in gardening on my small but cherished apartment balcony, an exercise in cultivating both flora and inner peace.

Balancing these responsibilities are the grounding presences of my husband and our two dogs. They add threads of love and complexity to my daily life. Meditation, my enduring companion, keeps me anchored amid these diverse commitments. Together, these elements form the rich tapestry of my present, inspiring me to illuminate not just my own path but also the paths of those who join me on this journey.

Let's Walk Together
